A man suspected to have
sold the killer Changa which killed over 8 people in Kibera
slum Soweto village and Silanga had been arrested awaiting
criminal changes at Kilimani Police station.
The suspected who worked at Highrise police post whose name was
given as Mr Mutua is the man who sold the poison changaa to
dealer in the area.
Mutua who worked bodyguard of the chief is
belived to have gone to collect dairy fee from Changa dea; as
he had been doing for many years, but instead the own told
him that since he don't have money he could only give him
changaa which he knowss very well that had been poisoned
because his aim was to finished him.
Later Mutua went ahead to sale to another dealer after collecting
fee from him,the dealer and his wife where among those who
died during weekend incident.
According to the villagers the
dealer who offered him changaa wanted to kill him because Mutua
had made a habit of collecting fee from him every day but
instead sold it for public consumption .
The said dealer who poisoned the drink is reported to have
gone into hiding as police hunt for him to face criminal
changes.
The villagers claims that the dealer had been
planning how to kill Mutua using poison changa because of his
habit of collecting operating fee on behalf o f his masters.
It is believed that Mutua had been collecting the fee on
behalf of a named area chief who is yet to respond on the
matter because other victims are stilling receiving medication

told media that there had been competition between some
police officers and Mutua on who can collect fee from Bhang
and Changaa dealers in Kibera and Soweto area and Mutua had
been selling impounded Changa instead of taking it to police
station.
Following the arrest of Mutua the residence appealed to the
goverment too take action from those taking fee from changa
dealers in order to protect them and threaten to hold demo
unless action is taken.
Unknown numbers of people including Changa dealers and his
wife died in Kibera slum over the weekend after consuming
poisoned changaa
Mutua is excepted to appear in court
after police investigation had been completed on the matter which
had put the area administration on the spot.
