   11TH EDITION OF IMAGES OF KENYA
 Department of film service will soon start to produce documentaries in  sign languages in order for  children and people with disability to benefit
Addressing students of Mass and Communication  during the opening of the just ended 11th edition of Images of Kenya film festival and the German Cultural Center in Nairobi  director of Film Service Mr Ernest Kerich said there is a need for change in  film production format
He pointed out that already Department of Film Service  had produced some film on  children with disability giving example of the one in Kajiado County
Mr Kerich  said that since sign Language had been introduced in Schools filmmakers should use them while producing  films adding that film is the only easy way of promoting and preserving culture heritage in the modern society
He said that both Ministry of Information and communication and Department of Film Service had embarked on education officers on County level on how to produce quality films on community cultural background
Kenya has rich cultural diversity which   needed to be preserved through film making and that is what Department of  film service is doing
  Images of Kenya showcase production of Department of Film services and Students of Mass and Communication who are studying film production among others
 Mr Kerich at the same time appealed to students from the Institution  to produce films which reflects Kenya communities background  which are suitable to both local and international viewers instead of coping the west.
 During the three days events  films from or over the Country where screened following by roundtable on quality production.
