KIRATU OFF TO INDIA

AWARD  winning musician CDM will next which tour India to attend the annual Performing Arts Of India Association meeting.
Fresh from winning top award at the just ended Music Copyright Society Of Kenya gala ward Kiratu will meet to music personalities and leaders for one long week workshop.
Kiratu who is also the director of Nairobi Province  will be representing Music Copyright Society of Kenya according to information made available to Equator.com from West lands head office
The workshop organized by Performing Arts Association of India will bring together associations  representatives from or over the World who will talk about the importance of performing arts in the modern society.
Speaking to Equator.com in Nairobi Kiratu said that the meeting is very important because he will be able to update the out World about the progress of Music Copyright Society of Kenya which is the biggest with the highest number of members
Kiratu who is also the founder members of  Singer of the Year award is the director of Nairobi Province and owns his own group of musicians.
The musicians was motivated in the World of music by the late twist king Daudi Kabaka whom he shared the stage with.
With  wealth of experience Kiratu ones served of the committee of Kenya Music and Culture Festival and so far he had composed numerous best selling songs both in Kiswahiri and his native Kikuyu.

     KENYA RAILWAY ART GALLERY  LAUNCHED.

With the major objective of promoting creative arts Kenya Railway had  turned one of its godown into Art Gallery for both local and international artist.
  The Gallery which is at the City Center was officially opened recently  and is currently hosting its first art exhibition  featuring local painters.
  Speaking during the official opening top  art Scholar Dr  E. Ongesa praised Kenya Railway management for turning the historical building of 1901 into Gallery and appealed to Kenyans to support artist by buying some of there works.
   He pointed out that politicians and business men should use some of  money they spend on buying      BMW, Benz and Toyota's to buy   art work which is cheap and part of our heritage
    On there side Kenya Railway Management promised to zoom supporting local artist adding that apart from painters and art exhibition, they will also stage other activities which included music, dance and book reading which is apart of our heritage.
   Kenya is the  only Country in Africa with Railway Museum   which had  been turned into  Art Gallery giving both  artist and  buyers   to conduct business  smoothly.
