KABAKA FAMILY SPLIT OVER ROYALITIES

Family of the late  twist King Daudi Kabaka had lodged there complain to Music Copyright Society of Kenya MCSK over royaliies.
Section of the family members complain that one of there brother Rueben Kabaka had been pocketing money given to him by  MCSK instead of sharing them with other members of the public per family agreement.
A director at MCSK who talked to Equator and did not wants to be named said that they had received a letter from family members not to pay the late musicians royalties to Reuben Kabaka who they did not trust but instead transfer them to the other members of the family
The late Kabaka  was among the respected musician in the Country before he died after ashort illness and since then they had been  confusion among the family members on whom to receive the royalities being paid to them by MCSK.
The family members also accused Rueben for re-producing the late Kabaka songs and collecting money from his former distributors and producers.
Instead they wants Rueben to continue where the late Kabaka left by making his former band active instead of reproducing the former musicians songs.
When contacted Reuben claims that MCSK is no longer paying him as they used to pay his late  father during his life time
Reuben is the late Kabaka older son  who is not active musician but instead but instead hired musicians when he wants to reproduce Kabakas songs
