DR KIMOLI TO PUBLISHE FIVE BOOK
Former University of Nairobi don Dr A, Mudogo Kimoli long awaited music and culture books will be published later in the year.
The founder member of the famous University of Nairobi choir told Equator.com that he had already given the manuscript to a publisher and very soon he will publish over five book at ones something which had never been done with another academia in the past'',
The don who is now blind speak to media in Nairobi during the official launching of a book in Kenya musicians in which is among the musicians featuring in the fist edition.
The books which are likely going to change the local art scene included music, traditional dance and Maragoli songs and preverbs ever publish with another academia from Western Kenya.
Dr Kimoli who is among the leading Choir master turned academia in East Africa pointed out that due to his blindness he had been unbale to publish the books but he is happy because he had got the publisher and hopes that the books will be of the greate use especially to the youngerstar who are intellectually broke without composing talent.
While calling upon to other academia to write books on music and other related materials the don appealed to the government through Ministry of Education to re-introduce music subjects in Schools from Primary level to secondary adding that music mold and spoon feed the minds of the younger ones
According to research students who performed well in music also perform well; in education and there is a need for music to be part of subject.
The blind academia also praised President Mwai Kibaki recent directive that music subject should be back in School, while addressing this year Kenya Schools and Colleges Drama festival gala at State House Kibaki advised those in Education to consider music subject and performing arts in examination.
Kimoli was working on the said books before blindness and had been unable to publish them because he spend most of the time in the house, because he no longer teaches at the University of Nairobi where he was a lecture.
Dr Kimoli who founded University of Nairobi choir is among the top choir master in East Africa and academia with ability to attract numerous fans while on the stage something which is not common with other academia
His books are very important because according to the latest Harvard University Guide to Africa American History music is the only easy way of recording history in the modern society.

Top city group Yunasi will on 27 of July 2012 perform at the German Culture Centre in Nairobi after short absent from the base
The concert at 8.00 will cost over Ksh 250 which is the cheapest in town given that the group has ability to attract funs while on the stage.
Yunasi founded in Mathare slum developed unique East African music style called Sesube which is combination of sega and Benga
It takes sounds and inspirations cultural styles and languages from local Kenyan communities and fuses those sounds with a European component. This is achieved by playing avariety of instruments both traditional and morden.
Since the formation the group have performed at festivals like Sauti Busara, Bluefest and Festhorn and played shows in Kenya France, German Belgium Mayotte Tanzania to name few in which they attracted numerous fund and received good media coverage and invitation.
The Afro-band in Kenya scooped the prize of the prestigious Us international Songwriter award contest in 2006 and achieved the 2 place in the World of music award WOMA 2008.
