COPYRIGHT AFTER DAUDI KABAKA AND THE LATE FADILLI WILLIAMS





    LOCAL musicians   plan to host the late  King of twist artist Daudi Kabaka twist festival in his  honour later in the year.
 The group lead by former Nairobi Province music copyright society of Kenya director CDM Kiratu believes that the festival will give chance to local musicians mostly youth to under stand who Kabaka was.
 Kiratu who is also founder member of Music Copyright Society of Kenya and  singer of the year  noted that with needs top have memorial for great heroes like Kabaka and Fahili William who controbuted well to development of music not only in Kinya but East Africa.
 He pointed out that during the festival co memorial local musicians will also reflect artistic life of the late Fadhilli William of Malaika fame which becomes both regional and international hit.
   Kiratu him self muscians is not happy about the way  the late great  artist like Kabaka are treated after there death adding that Kenyans are non of remembering other  musicians from Congolese like Franco   but giving Kabaka black out and yet is the father of twist commonly known as the kING OF TWIST.
The late grey hired  musician named after Kabaka  Chwa of  Buganda is commonly known by top composition like Msiciana wa Sura Nzuri, Nyumba za Tumbaku among others.
 According to Kiratu during the festival  academia and music scholars will be invited to give talk of Kabaka  work under the title Copyright after  Kabaka and Fadhilli Williams.
 He said it is through such festival the late  musicians can be remembered by both musicians and students of music.
 Apart from performing the late Kabaka was ones music demonstrator at Kenyatta University and founding members of the famous Kenyatta University Culture week  in which  he was always star performer.
 Currently nobody is not talking about Kabaka while his great music are bein g pirated by fake music d ealers,
