Writer Francis Ilahaka turned Urban Farming promoter and Gardner left explain to farmer how
to produce seeds under Community seeds production at his Railway line vegetables garden in Lanagta
Kibera slum.
After staging his first International Urban Farming at French Culture Center in Nairobi last year he
had embarked t on teaching Langata Urban Framers on how to produce seeds which he give to the
free.
In the past he had produced seedling of traditional Luhya vegetables like Livogoi, Sukumna and pumpkin
which are performing well. Apart from that Railway line garden plans to give free seedlings and suckers to
primary Schools in Langata and Kibra with the major objective of introducing School children to Urban farming in order to grow greener.
