MKU CAREER WEEK ATTRACTS CO-OPARATIVES

Mt  Kenya MKU   will work with Industry and co-operative for the sake of development and exposing there students
According to MKU  VC  Prof Stanley Waudo the University had mooted programmer involving there students innovators  ,industry and co-operatives with the major objective of developing there skulls.
He  trashed aside media reports that some Universities in the Country re offering unnecessary subject  hence wasting students.
The VC was speaking during MKU career week held at Thika  campus  between 10th and 13 th July  whose major objective was to show both students and members of the public  what they are offering.
The the four days events brought together co-operatives, banks innovators and publishers with  exhibition stand some of them are already working with MKU in field of research.
He said that there in no way Universities in the Country can move ahead without working with  industry among them Jua Kali who needs there knowledge, adding that majority of  developed Counties are known of working with Universities which are the center of research
While calling on  MKU students to take there work seriously  Waudo promised that they will zoom to  invest more funds in research with the major objective of mapping with other Universities in Africa  adding that research and publication are the  major pillars of University.
The events attracted  banks like  Family Bank, Equity Bank. KBC, Bank of Africa others were publishers, hotels among others whose majority employees are former students of MKU
The  University aims to produce  students who are job creators bu not job seekers.
 During the function  MKU also displayed some of there publication. magazine and innovation by there students
