sCHOLARS AT THE LATE KENYAN WRITER PROF FRANCIS IMBUGA FUNERAL SERVICE



Dozen  of  Scholars  University  dons and  students attended  funeral  service  of  the  late  Kenyan  writer  and  actor  Pro  Francis  Imbuga held   at  a Nairobi  Church
The  body  was  later   airlifted  to  Western  Kenya on  Friday today for  burial   ceremony  on Saturday  in  Maragoli  where  he  was born  65  years ago
The  late  Imbuga  who  passed  away  early  this  week  was termed as the  father  of playwrights in  the  modern  Kenya whose contribution  to  the  development  of  theater  cannot  be forgotten  in  a short  period.
Lead  by   his   long  time  publisher  Dr  Henry   Chakava they  termed  Imbuga as  a writer  who  understand  his  trade
While  calling  on  upcoming  writers  to  cope  the  late  Imbuga  they  also appealed  to  the  goverment  through  Ministry   of  Education  to   recommend  some  of the  writers playbook as set study  in  Secondary  Schools  because they  are  rich  in  cultural.
Thsoe  who  also  attended  the  funeral   service  included  Sabatia  Mp  and  DP  Musalia  Mudavadi  among   others,
Mudavadi  termed  Imbuga  as  a great  writer  of  our  time  who  books  had  inspired  numerous  Kenyans both  old  and  young.
