NEW BOOK ON NAIROBI OUT

The  first  ever    pictorial book  on  Nairobi  titled  Meeting  Nairobi had  been  published and  is  already  at  the  leading  bookstores  around  the World.
The book  which  was  officialy  launched  at  the  German  Cultural  Center  in  Nairobi  tells  the  World  the  true  story  of  Nairobi  commonly  known  as the  city  on  the  sun by   visitors
Meeting  Nairobi  is  published  by  Goethe  Institut, Bayer  Kultur  and  other   supporters with  the  major  objective  of introducing  Nairobi  to  the  outer  World
What  makes  the  book  very  interesting  is  that  Nairobians had been  given  chance  to  tell  there  stories  to  Nairobians and  the  outer  World.
The  writers  talked  to  the  Nairobians  especially  those  living  in  the  slum in  order  to   make  sure that  the  story  is  real  life in  the  slum something  which  is   not  common  with  other  books  on  Nairobi.
The  book  is  easy  to  read  because  of  its  beauty  photos  taken  in  Kibera  slum  which   is  the  second  largest  in  sub  Sahara, Korokocho,  Kariobangi while  other  photos  were  taken at  the  city center  including  Uhuru  Park  among  others.
 According  the  writers  of  the  book  Heike  Schiller  and  Stephan  Bruckmeier the  book  is  very  important  because Nairobians  will  be  able  to  read  there  on  stories  as the  glance  at  the  photos also international  community  will  understand Nairobi  better  than  before.
Meeting  Nairobi  is  both  in  English  and  German  which  mean  that  it  is  useful  both  in Kenya  and  Europeans  Countries
The book which  is  a must  reading for  both  general  readers  policy  makers  and  government  officials is   in  beautiful  hard  cover  hence  easy  to  handle
