Heinemann had  embarked  on publishing selected  book  from    the  famous  Africa  writers  into  classic  with  the  major  objective  of  making  them available  to  both  new  readers  and classic  lovers.
Among  books  which  had  already    been   published  into  cl;classic  included  Prof  Ngugi  Devil  on  the Cross,  Prof  Chunua  Achebe  Arrow  of  God,  Mariam  Ba  So  longer  a letter  among  others
The  selected  books  are  among  the  early  books  publsihed  by  Africa writers  who  mostly  used there  pen  to  fight  colonial  leadership at  the same  time  preserving  African    traditional  value
Among  the  early  writers  Chinua  Achebe  published  his book  Things  Fall  Apart  in  50s  and  since  then  he  had  published  dozen  of  books  which  had  already been  translated  into  numerous languages  on  the World
It  is  believed  that  Achebes  books  Things  Fall  Apart,  Arrow  of  God and  No longer at  Easy are  books  in  which African proverbs had  been  quoited than  any    other  African  writers  of  our  time
What  is  very  interesting  is  that what  Achebe. was  trying  to  write   about  Nigeria especially  traditions value  and  corruptions  are  what was and  is  still  happening  or  over  Africa  region which  vividly  proved  that  not  only  Achebe  was    doing serious  research  but  also  producing prophetic  books on  Africa  way   of  life.
 The  same  goes  to  Kenya  father  of    books  Prof  Ngugi is  is  Chinua   Achebe  students who  he   first  meet  in  Kampala  Uganda  during  the  Pan  Africa writers  meeting   and  that  time  Achebe  was editor  at  Heinmann
Since  then Ngugi who  teachers  abroad  had  published  numerous  books  which  included  the  Grain   og Wheat,  River  Between among  others  Ngugi  also  writes  and  Publish   in  Kikuyu.
Both  Ngugi  and  Achebe ones  worked  for  either  broadcasting  Houise and  News  papers except  Mariama  BA who was  a  School  teacher'
