H.OLE KULET LAUNCH ANEW BOOK VANISHING HERDS
Former Kenya Wildlife Service Director Dr Julius Kipngetich had appealed to Kenyans to document history for the sake of younger generation.
He said that Kenya has rich cultural and history which needs to be documented both in film forms and books in order to promote the reading cultural in the Country
Kipgetich made the. remark during the official opening of the latest book titled Vanishing Herds by H.Ole Kulei at the Serit Center were he was the chief guest, while praising the writer he said that time had come for many Kenyans to come out with books
He said that currently he is working on his book about his life as the Director of Kenya Wildlife Service which he said is very important for Kenyans and the rest of the World.
The former Kenya Wildlife boss warns that unless Kenyans stop the destruction of forest it will be difficult for the Country to feed its people while the conflict between human and animals will increase..
He pointed out that the new book which is about Human and Wildlife conflict is very useful because it will give policy makers a true picture on what is happening on the ground so that action can be taken before it is too late.
At the same time pointed out that the drying of Lakes and Rivers in Rift valley is the results of forest destruction in the Country and that is why action should be taken.
Kipgetich brushed aside claims that he is heading to politics but instead promised that he had important issues to deal with than politics
Speaking at the same venue the writer of the book. H. Ole Kulet said man should be blamed on human animals conflict because animals are after for water and fresh grass which man is destroying.
The writer had been writing for the last 40 years with over 10 besting selling books on the market published by Longhorn publishers.
On his side the firm Managing Directors Mr Musyoki Muli promised that they are committed no coming out with books suitable for both general readers and education use.
