DUCUMENTING NAIROBI BUILDINGS,
Scholars of Kenya historical buildings had something to be happy of following the documentation by the award winning photographer Mimi Cherono Ngo,k
The documentation which is in the form of exhibition is currently on the show at the German Culture Center in Nairobi Kenya.
The exhibition which was officially opened last weekend vividly proved that photography is the easy way history can be stored and be preserved in the modern Society without any problematic and that is what German Culture Center in Nairobi is doing.
The upcoming photographer told media in Nairobi that the exhibition titled Sasa Nairobi is the basis of her field of photography.
Ngo,k agraduate of the University of Cape Town in South Africa where she hold BA in fine Art majoring in photography.
She won the 3third photo Africa contest in Terita Spain in 2011 Courtesy of IFa, She was in residence at Savvy in Berlin German, Recently she was selected as 2013 fellow in Bahia Brazil and the ongoing exhibition is her first in Nairobi
The photographer plans to study majority of of the historical buildings in Nairobi with the major objective of preserving history which is threaten by the modernity
The exhibition featrung photos and newsapapers cutting had becomes among the major atraction in the city , because majority of photography is commonly contacted by photographers from Europeans Countries and the West.
