  Jak Katariwe moved to new base on Forest road after staying at Norfolk towers for over 32 years


After staying at Norfolk towers for over 32 year Uganda born painter Jak Moses Katarikawe had now moved to anew base on Forest road in Nairobi.
The artist who is among East Africa  expensive painter had embarked on tracing Africa lost tradition through his painting which he hopes to exhibit later in the year.
The Gallery Watatu based painter pieces goes for over Ksh 500,000 and more due to its originality and popularity
Jak start his artistic journey is the late 60s as Prof driver at Makerere University before moving his base at Gallery Watatu where he is now among the highly priced artist and up to date his work are scattered around the World at the most respected Galleries and Museums.
Apart  from that his son Sade Lucus and his wife Florence Katarikawe are painters on there own he told Equator.com that his other sons are also painters.
 He was among the local painters who took part in the just ended Watatu  art sale exhibition at the village market in Nairobi.
