SCHOOLS AND D.C OPEN GROUND USERS PAYING FEE TO GANG OF YOUTH

   Schools and football clubs from Lanagata area in Kibera had lodged there complain to administration over  high fee being charged by group of youth in order to use the nearest DC open group.
 They claimed that youth associated with criminal activities in the slum  had taken over the community open ground charging School children fee in order to use  it.
According to Schools head who talked to press  they claimed that the said youth are charging them Ksh 300 per games every Friday without giving them receipt.
The most affected Schools are sponsored because they are supposed top  give  sponsors receipt for every shilling they use, claiming that they had been forced to do away with sports and games because there is no open ground.
On there side football clubs had threaten to take action against the youth because the ground was donated to the community and any youth  charging fee is criminal activities accusing for police from the nearest DC office for protecting them.
The open ground is  between  former President Daniel Arap Moi home. Army post and Kibera administration officers with full officers and users wondered how the youth can take over the ground.
The users also blamed Nairobi County for allowing youth to charge members of the public fee, claiming that visitors coming to Kibera slum are supposed to pay fee to hang or be attacked by criminals
DC open ground is used by over ten  Schools and numerous clubs from Kibera which means criminals are pocketing over   10,000 per week.
