Scholars on Art Promoters


Local artist and Scholars had appealed to the state to appreciate work done by both personalities and there members in preserving our heritage.
They made the remark this week during the official opening of arts exhibition at Nairobi Gallery formerly the old PC building on Uhuru Highway.
Lead by the creator of the ongoing exhibition Yoney Wai-te they said that over and over again  the  Government had left artist and other copyright holder in the dark at the time of need.
They appealed to the  state to pay hospital bill of the illing  founder of Africa Heritage and Chairman of Murumbi Art Trust Alan Davon who had been at one of the city hospital, adding that Alan played a great role in establishing Africa Heritage at preserving Murumbi  art collection which are now safe at the Nairobi Gallery.
Alan had been sick for a number of days since last year the last public appearance was last year during the official opening of Nigeria festival to mark Nigeria national days at the same venue.
The official opening of the ongoing exhibition was attended by scholars art lover and dons from both National and private Universities.
