KENYA ARTS DIARY AND ARTS EXHIBITION
25 October - 4 November

Nairobi National Museum

This year, the Heinrich Boell Foundation in partnership with NAIROBI NATIONAL MUSEUM (NNM), musical artist Juliani and Kitengela Glass & Arts Training Centre, celebrate the 8th Edition (2018) of the Diary and exhibition.

The ARTS EXHIBITION runs daily from Monday, 25th October to Saturday, 4th November 2017 at the Nairobi National Museum (Museum Hill). Selected artwork, some of which are featured in the 2018 edition of the Kenya Arts Diary, will be exhibited and sold to support the respective artists.

The exhibition ends with the official KENYA ARTS DIARY LAUNCH event on Saturday, 4th of November starting 10 a.m. with speeches planned for 4 p.m. at the same venue followed by live musical performance by Juliani and the band, Eddy Grey, Rita Khatushi and others. Short films like “Watu Wote”, a Kenyan Oscar Award-winning film based on the Mandera Bus Terror attack and produced by two young, talented Kenyan filmmakers (Matrid Nyagah and Bramwel Iro) with the support of the Heinrich Boell Foundation and the German Embassy; and “Thank You for the Rain” by Julia Dahr and Kisilu Musya, shall be screened prior to the films’ premier taking place later in the year.

Entrance to the launch event on 4th November is free, by invitation.
