SEVEN PRIMARY SCHOOL TO BE FLATTEN IN KIBERA TO PAVE WAY FOR ROAD

   SevenPrimary School and Mashimoni Squatters primary  are among the seven schools to be flatten to pave way for the construction of Yaya hawway in Kibera slum.
 Half part of the namwed schools will be chopped off to pave way for the highway which is already under construction.
Both Mashimoni primary School and Mashimoni Squatters are among the olf informal Schools in Kibera   strated during Moi era with the major objective of giving affordable education to poor kids from the slum.
Mashimoni Primary School was mooted by  Mr Joghn Kanyiri educationilist turned politician while Mshimoni squatters was mooted by Bishop Timothy Mulehi,
 Already sponsor shad threaten to pull out from the affected schools given that they had invested very much  in the building which are to be pulled out.
 Other affected Schools   are church owned and private ones and the action is likely going to  affect learning in the schools especially students preparing for Std 8 examination.
 Apart from School other structures around administration center and political offices had not been spared.
  Work on the  hawya are under way  last week the nearest  hawkers market was pulled down.
