Music Copyright Society of Kenya and Copyright Board on spot
over the sale of fake music materials in Nairobi and other towns
According to musicians hawkers are earning more than musicians
because both music copyright society of Kenya, Copyright board are toothless
while its directors are earning thousands of shillings
Currently CD on Nairobi streets are selling between Ksh 20 and 150 instead of Ksh1,000.
Instead the musicians had threaten to lodge there complain to the Minister in charge calling
on the government to ban CD re write saying it is criminal offence
