STARNGERS IN KIBERA SLUM TO BE REPORTED TO POLICE

Residence of Kibera slum in Langata had  been told to report suspected strangers to the nearest police station
Speaking during peace forum for Highrise ward County preservatives candidate the area D.O Benson Kayesi  warns that trouble makers during the ongoing campaign and during  general election on march 4th will be arrested and taken to court
He said that majority of those who  generated havoc in the slum during 2007 to 2008 election violence were outsiders transported to the area by politicians for there  personal gain, adding that this time around security agency are alert with the major objective of making sure that election is  held smoothly without any problem
Kayesi said  that any strangers in the slum which was  affected in 2007 should be monitored by villager elders and residence and if discovered to be a criminal should be reported to police in order for action  to be taken
At the same time appealed to politicians to conduct peaceful election but instead advised youth and voters in general from hovering from one politician to another with the major  objective of making quick money
He also appealed to voters to respect law during campaign and after  or risked being  arrested for political offense whose fine is heavy
Present during the forum was the area chief Adira and politicians  from numerous parties fighting for highrise seat among others  who promised peace.
The forum was sraged by AMREF Catholic Church and Red cross with the major objective of preaching aman ahead of the forthcoming general election on March 4th.
