UNIVERSITY FOR EVERY COUNTY IN KENYA

The  government  through  Ministry  of  Education plan  to  establish  University  in   every  County  within  the  span  of  15  years in  order  to  make  University  education  affordable  to  every  Kenyans.
Parliamentary committee  in  education  David  Koech said the  government  will  make   sure  that  every  County  has its  own  University  which  is   part   of  the  ongoing  education  reform
Koech was  speaking  at  Mt  Kenya  University  during 4th Graduation ceremony  at  Thika  campus were  he  was among  the  chief  guests.
He pointed  out  that  their  is  no  government  in  the  World  which  can progress  without  University  education  which  is  the  key  to  development
 Present  during  the  function was Assistant  Minister  for Technical Education Ministry  of  High  Education  Science  and Technology  Asman Kamama  among  others
In  his  remark  Kamama advised  University   students  to  get  prepared  so  that  they  can  become  job  creators  than  the  traditional  of  becoming  job seekers.  adding  that  research  and  innovation  is  the  only way   forward.
He  pointed  that  one  degree  is  not  enough  for  nay  serious  academia in  the  21st  century  of  technology and  appealed  to  students  at  University   level   to  conduct  more  research  which  can  benefit  the  Country  to   move  forward.
 Kamama promised  that  the  government  through   Ministry  of  Education  will  increase   funds  for  University   so  that students  can  conduct  more  research.
 While  praising  Mt  Kenya  University for pumping  a lot  of  money in  research  he  appealed to  other  University to   equip  there  students because  the  government  is   after quality  education
