11 PERISH IN MUDSLIDE IN RIFT VALLEY KENYA



At  list 11  people  are killed and 25 families displaced when three villages  in Elgeyo Marakwet County of  Rift  Valley were hit  by mudslide.
The  incident  happened  during  heavy  downpour  on  Friday night  to  Saturday  morning in  which  properties  worth  millions  of  shillings  were  also  destroyed
Local  Red  cross and  villagers worked  hard  in  removing  bodies  from  the  mud while  the  remaining  families  were  moved  to  safe  area  fearing  for  there  safe rt according  to  the  Red cross  PL  Nelly  Muluka
The  flood occur  during  night  time  when  majority  of  villagers  were  in  deep   sleep but  the  numbers  of  animals  which  perish  in  the  landslide were  not  revealed  to  media
Villagers  blamed  the  authority   of  not  taking  weather man  seriously   given  that  he  give   warning  of  floods  and   landslide  during  the  end  year    short  rain
