SOWETO RESIDENCE TO PAVE WAY FOR SLUM UPGRADING
Residence of Soweto with structures around the road had been given notice to move in order to pave way for the ongoing slum upgrading in the area
Among those affected are the owner of informal School churches among other structures which are unwanted because of the ongoing slum upgrading which will change the slum of Kibera which had becomes tourist attraction because residence. are living poor life like animals.
Kibera slum upgrading started this year in Soweto and the first unit of houses are under construction which will so the residence have good housing at affordable price,
The latter which was given today to parents with students in the affected Schools early this week had generated debate in the area with some people supporting slum upgrading while others opposing it
Majority of structures affected had got no toilets forcing residence to use flying toilets in plastic which they drop along the road at night.
