THE LATE DR KEMOLI DREAM TO THE GROWTH OF KENYA MUSIC AND CULTURAL FESTIVAL

The  late Dr A.Mudogo  Kemoli was the the upcoming artist  should  given  chance in  the development  of  Kenya music.
In  his  last advice to  Kenya Music  and  Cultural  Festival committee  members during  last years  events  Dr  Kemoli  told  them to  make  sure the youth  are  part  of Kenya music  development and  performing arts industry  in  the Country.
The former  University  don  who  passed  away  last  weekend warns that  it  will be wrong  to  sideline  the youth  and  yet  they  control music  industry in  production  and  earning while the old  guard  of  60s and  70s  are  living poor  life.
Instead Kemoli  told  Kenya Music  and  Cultural  Festival organizers to   make  sure that  they  introduce    classes which is  suitable  for  them,  like  Hip Hop, Sheng  and  other  urban music  which  is  now  common both  on  stage and  radio  station.
According  to  the don since  the the  youth  controls media house they  also    needed to participate in Kenya Music  and  Cultural  Festival because the are  part of Kenya music.
Kemoli made the  observation  which seems  to  be his  last  one after   attending  last  year Kenya Music  and  Cultural  Festival  at Kenyatta  International  Conference  Center where  his  own  composition  was performed
He  warns  that  unless youth   are  given  chance  at Kenya Music  and  Cultural  Festival  there    will be cris because they  are  zoom  to   play  there on  music on  station and  sideline  the old  guards  and  the only  way to  to  work  with  them
The founder  of  Nairobi  University  Choir wondered  why Kenya Music  and  Cultural  Festival  organizers had  refused to  introduce  classes  for  youth   and  yet  there  music  and attracted co-operative who   are always inviting   them during  there  function
Kemoli  believes  that  since those youth  are some of  his students  and  what  they    are  doing is  music  revolution  they   should  be  excepted  in  the society.
The don  was among the few  Scholars  who   atended  Kenya Music  and  Cultural  Festival and  Kenyatta  International  Conference  Center in Nairobi  to witness the East  Africa  biggest    Cultural   events.
On government  officials and policy  makers  who  included  University  dons  who  also  advised them to  be attending  the events   so    that   they can   understand the change  in  performing  art and what  is  needed  for  the growth.
