KENYAN WRITERS TOLD TO USE THERE PEN IN EDUCATING THE MASS

     Top Kenyan  educationalist turned  writer Likimani  Muthoni had appealed to   local writers to use thee pen in fighting evils in the society.
The  award winning writer termed  tribalism  as the enemy of development in the modern society which needs to be rejected.
She appealed to Ministry of Education to start tour visit among Schools children so that, schools from  different Counties can be able to visit each other and understand there background as Kenyans.
Muthoni note4d that such tour can play the role of educating Kenya the needs of staying with each other as brother and sisters.
The writer  made the remark at Herman Culture Center during monthly women writers  forum where she was chief guest.
She pointed out that youth  from  Mount Kenya region can learn much from Nyanza and Western Kenya if such tours can be  proved by the Ministry of education, adding that during her youthful days  writers from Kenyan province used to meet with the major objective of learning from  each other.
At the some time appealed to local writers to use mother tongue which is the source of knowledge instead of depending on Eglish which some of them cannot express themselves clearly
On children books  she accused local writers for killing boy children in there books and yet they suffer like girl child.. adding that time had come  for both Ministry of education and Kenya readers to consider boy child.
In the past Ministry of Education through K.I.E had  been only  giving node to books which expose the suffering of girl child and yert boys spend there time looking for cattle instead of being in School.
